Dawn Marquis
I am grateful
for the opportunity to give something back: to convey to others
some of what I have gained through my own practice of Yoga. Namaste,
Dawn

"The yoga postures and breath are tools to rebuild and
transform ourselves. The goal is not to tie ourselves in knots
-we're already tied in knots. The aim is to untie the knots in
our hearts. The aim is to unite with the ultimate, loving, and
peaceful power in the universe." -Max Strom
Yoga has enhanced my life in numerous ways. I love not only the
practice but the people that I encounter along the journey. Namaste,
Sandie

Count the campfire by the glowing flames
never by the ashes that fall
Count your days by the golden hours
don't remember clouds at all
Count the nights by stars, not shadows
Count your life by smiles
not tears, and with joy through vales of sorrow
Count your age by friends
not your years.

Donna Torney, MA, RYT
Donna's passion is combining western psychology with the psychology
of yoga in ways that western students can use in their everyday
life. As a "householder," with four children, she is always looking
for new ways to use yoga to enhance parenting, work life, and community
initiatives. She studied with and read extensively the work of Jon
Kabat-Zin, founder of the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University
of Massachusetts, as well as Stephen Cope, psychotherapist and Scholar
in Residence at Kripalu Center for Yoga and health. Donna's teacher
training includes workshops with Shiva Rea, Baron Baptiste, Judith
Lasiter and Sarah Powers. Donna also attended additional teacher
training at Phoenix Rising Yoga therapy in Stockbridge, Ma. Donna
is a graduate of the Counseling Psychology Program at the University
of New Hampshire. She has taught yoga, mindfulness and other wellness
topics in both corporate and private settings.
