"Pilates, Abs and Core"
Wednesdays 4:00 PM
In this 8 week "Pilates Abs & Core Strength" class we really
take the time and build up your abdominal's in a way you might not have experienced
it before.
You'll feel different and look different. Pilates is an incredible tool to teach
awareness, build up a strong core and align your body perfectly and with ease.
In Yoga class, there is sometimes not enough time to focus on your physical
center, the abs, the core, the pelvic floor, the deep torso muscles.
You've probably heard of all of these terms, but do you really know how to use
them? Pilates training will make your yoga practice safe and successful.
Since all of the exercises are on the mat, they can be done by someone at any
level of fitness. There is hardly any strain on the knees, wrists or shoulders.
And a strong core will take a lot of pressure off of those joints, if you do
happen to have problems.
It is a workout, but it still incorporates the body-mind centering that you
like so much about yoga.
You'll be present in the moment. You'll connect with your breath. You'll recognize
a lot of the exercises too.
